Lindsey is a creator who was at @phxzinefest this year and sent us home with a really great collection of zines about their personal experiences and art. ✨ We have been enjoying reading about their life and really love the illustrations that accompany each story in each individual zine. 📖 Thanks for sharing your zines with us @lindzenatordraws Zines featured in this post: 💕 “Fat Love” : “Fat love” is a short zine about food and generational trauma. ❤️ “Love in Every Timeline”: “Love in every timeline” explores the timelessness of love and connection. ☕️ “So Long, Starbies!”: “So long, starbies” explores the dark side of Starbucks from the perspective of a former employee, who decided to quit for these reasons, despite some real benefits the corporation lent to her own life. 🍕 “Slice of Self Love”: A zine about remembering that taking care of yourself is a radical and revolutionary process that can heal generational trauma. So keep going! 🗣️ “I Can’t Wait to Tell my Therapist About This!”:“I can’t wait to tell my therapist about this” is a short, humorous zine/comic about the benefits of therapy. 🦵 “Becoming Sass-Squatch”: “Becoming sass-quatch” explores the absurdity of white, colonial beauty standards. 🍄 “Earth Medicine Saved My Life”: “Earth medicine saved my life” explores the nature of fear and what can be learned from it, based on an experience with psilocybin. 👁️ “Awakening Vol. 1”: a short zine/comic that narrates a journey of self-discovery. 👀 “Awakening Vol. 2”: is a short zine/comic that features an anecdote about karma. 🌱 “Toypurina”: A Nonfiction comic zine based off the true story of indigenous resistance in the face of Spanish colonization in Southern California. Meet Tongva shaman, Toypurina, the authors matriarchal ancestor.
