˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖ Wasted Ink Celebrated its 9th Birthday in December! ˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖

On December 7th, 2024, Wasted Ink Zine Distro celebrated its 9th Birthday with a bunch of our beloved zine friends! ₊˚⊹♡

We celebrated with fun activities that helped bring the people together to make and share art.

​We were able to help build community in the following ways during the celebration at WIZD:

- We created a make and take zine station where our friends could make a zine to take home with them or trade with other friends. ✏️

- We created pages for the Wasted Ink Zine Distro 9th Birthday Party Scapbook. We are so grateful to one of our wonderful community members, Josephine Jay, for designing and creating such a wonderful gift! 📔

- We enjoyed fruit salad carefully crafted by our WIZD friends and Events Organizer James. 🍑

- We also enjoyed some beautiful and delicious cupcakes that were thoughtfully created by our zine vendor Michelle from Lady Danger Sweets. You can find her @ladydangersweets on Instagram. 🧁

- We hand painted a sign and also showcased an old family quilt to allow visitors to create the perfect picture in our Photobooth. 🎨

- We created a comfy lounge area in the Wasted Ink Zine Library so that our friends could hang out and read some zines! 🛋️

- Most importantly, we debuted the Community Grief Zine in honor of our wonderful community member who left us this year, Sarahfina Fore. We gathered thoughts in remembrance of our friend and acknowledgement of the grief that we are still all sitting with. We have a dedicated blog post to this friend and you can find that here. 💜 Big thanks goes to Devin Kate Pope, Theo Quest, Zoe Sugg, and Charissa Lucille for making this grief zine.

We want to share our warmest appreciation for all of the folks who made this event special! We appreciate every moment that we get to spend together and we are excited to see the community grow in the next years to come.
