Our group is made up of young adults in their 20s who are friends. Otherwise, our identities begin to diverge from one another. The majority of us are neurodivergent/mentally ill/mentally disabled and queer. Some of us are people of color, some of us are white. I know for a fact that at least one of us (me the person writing this) is Latino, but I won't speak for anyone else in Prickly Pear Zine Collective. We are visual artists, story tellers, and zine enthusiasts.

We operate two reuse centers for home improvement which sell gently-used, salvaged, and surplus building materials at affordable prices. Additionally, we provide deconstruction services that salvage building materials, divert waste from landfills, and support sustainability in the community.
Founded in 1997, Stardust was created when local philanthropist and co-founder Jerry Bisgrove was about to undertake a complete home remodeling project. The first step of the remodeling process was to remove everything from the home, essentially gutting the structure in preparation for a rebuild. The weekend before demolition was scheduled to begin, Jerry and his wife told a friend to take whatever she wanted from the house. When Jerry and his wife returned to inspect the property, they were surprised to discover the usable material from the house was gone, including cabinets, plumbing fixtures, lighting, electrical supplies, and flooring. They asked their friend what she did with everything. She said she used some of the materials to remodel her own home, sold items to friends and relatives, and gave materials to those in need. It is from these humble beginnings that Stardust was born. Stardust partners with Gifts In Kind: The Gifts In Kind (GIK) program provides material donations to non-profit organization needing various commodities. GIK allows non-profit organizations access to large quantity and bulk donations of usable materials received by Stardust Non-Profit Building Supplies (SNBS) from local retailers. Items received through GIK may not be sold, bartered, traded, auctioned, raffled or otherwise used for monetary or financial gain by the non-profit organization or their clients. I love horror movies and illustration. I hate how the femme characters are shallow or just there for sexual tension. My goal with this zine is to take these incredible women, give them a story about their personal story and re-illustrate them.
Among my other publications is "Olly Olly (Oxen Free)" started in 2011, of which there are two issues to date. Many of my publications have an LGBTQIA++ focal point, examining topics such as coming out as Queer in my early 30s.
I am an illustrator and comic artist, who stumbled into the zine scene back in 2015 in Seattle. It wasn't until 2016 when I made my first zines, one of them being a printed copy of my webcomic "Strange But Beautiful."
Mi Casita Press (MCP) is a femme led alternative publishing press. Mi Casita Press aims to empower QTBIPOC through printmaking, print, and community entrepreneurship.
My zine contains two two-length poems, one of which was performed live in front of thousands of people when I opened for bestselling contemporary poet Rupi Kaur at The Orpheum Phoenix in June 2022.
Ann Drew is an Illustrator and Graphic Designer toiling away under the hot Sonoran sun. Her multitude of skills included but aren't limited to: alligator wrestling, finger skateboard flip tricks, and hunching over her computer whispering nonsensical words into Adobe.
I have created a variety of zines that primarily concentrate on content such as work (in various mediums) by multiple illustrators as well as zines I have created of my own work (35mm film photography).
My name is Jazz Torrez, I'm an archivist and an artist. My Fruit Salad zines share snippets of my life experiences, dreams, and memories through the use of illustration, which is my preferred way of expressing myself and telling stories. Many of my drawings are about family, growing up in El Paso, Texas, and healing, mostly with a sense of humor
