I have a zine bike that I am starting to use to take my personal zine collection out into the community, teach workshops, and connect with others--my "business name" is Outspokin' & Bookish.
I'm creating a short zine that people can use as a journal! It will be extremely simple, just 4-5 pages, small and low budget. I know how helpful journaling can be and I know a lot of people who avoid it because they feel it can be too time consuming, or even that the beauty of the actual journal makes them apprehensive about writing in it! My zine, filled with thought provoking images and plenty of space for writing will hopefully alleviate those fears and encourage reflection and growth.
Mi Casita Press (MCP) is a femme-led alternative publishing press. Mi Casita Press aims to empower QTBIPOC through printmaking, print, and community entrepreneurship.
MCP was created in the efforts to make art accessible to communities of color, encourage healing through the arts, promote the work of QTBIPOC, and amplify the voices of the underrepresented through the practice of self-publishing.
My zines (and on-hiatus podcast about zines) are about how my identities intersect and how I see the world. As a mentally ill, queer, non-binary, fat white person, I talk a lot about my struggles with my brain and body. I strive to create zines that are relatable to other people whose identities crossover with my own.
Lemon Liu Press is a small publishing company focused on telling the stories of butch lesbians of color. Zines and comic books carried by the press are distributed in bookstores and comic shops around New York and New Jersey.
I have zines and comics about plants, anxiety, native awkwardness, and more. Lots of mini comics and plenty of digital zines as well!
this zine is called "it's cool :)" and it's a collection of love poems for the lonely. it is also my very first official zine! each of the poems are handwritten and illustrated. the total page count, including all poems and illustrations, is 48.
Impulses, Urges, Intrusiveness & Ideation explores what it means to have impulsive thoughts slowly morph into darker ideation and what that means in terms of how seriously you should take your own thinking.
"How to Sugar Baby" is an 18+ experience that touches on some of the not often discussed safety precautions and general how-to's of being a sugar baby.
It's a lightly comedic, educational piece that I hope finds the people who need it. I just want to help folks find happiness and navigate a community that's difficult to enter, and this is the brainchild of that desire. I hope you can read it to enjoy some laughs, learn something about a vastly growing community, or just revel in the wonderful work of my design team that made this zine possible.
My zines are mostly like diaries of my life. I try to tell a story with my photographs. Since starting my zine making, I've realized my world is relatable.
