Fostering literary community through the creation, publication, showcase, and investigation of contemporary literary arts from Northern Arizona, the Colorado Plateau, the American Southwest, and beyond.
Established in 1997, the Northern Arizona Book Festival (NOAZBF) is a literary nonprofit based out of Kinłaní (a.k.a., the bordertown of Flagstaff, Arizona). It coordinates programming that reflects the literary interests and cultural issues that define life in the Colorado Plateau region. The festival combines traditional modes (such as readings, panels, discussions, and book fairs) with an array of other modes (workshops, screenings, performances, hands-on activities, and immersive experiences) so participants can discover new entry points into the literary arts. The festival partners with a wide array of non-profits, presses, businesses, and community organizations to increase both literacy and cultural literacy.
