LINDSEY DANAE PEREZ is a two-spirit Tongva illustrative artist who encourages self-decolonization through visual storytelling, giving voice to gender-nonconforming experiences, cultural reclamation, and spiritual awakening in their collection of handmade, self published comic zines. Lindsey is currently enrolled in the Comics Portfolio program at the I.P.R.C. and frequently participates in pop up markets across the west coast, selling handmade art prints, zines, buttons, stickers, sketch portraits and more. "I have several zines I'd like to read that are dan favorites. Fat Love is about my personal journey in healing my relationship with my body And nutrition, doing a deep dive into how generational trauma plays a part in our bodies weight. I'd also love to read Toypurina, an illustrated zine based on the true story of one of my matriarchal ancestors who lived during the mission times in southern California and tells her story of resistance."
