We are a newly formed Arizona based zine collective interested in both real and fictional worlds and expressing ourselves through the medium of multimedia art. This includes comics, illustration, crafting, collage, photography, and of course- zines! Some of our members have been making zines for a few years now, while other members are brand new to the zine scene. Silly Roadrunner Zine Collective is a group of LGBTQ+ creative friends from different parts of Arizona, from Mesa to Chandler, Scottsdale to Phoenix.
Mads: "I've been a zinester for about 5 years but also work in the medium of digital illustration and ceramic arts. I'm a pottery teacher by day and a drawer of buff trans guys by night. My zines are usually about my gender nonconforming characters." ([email protected], Instagram) Andy: "My work focuses on personal progression, my chronic illness experience, and giving myself permission to find joy in what I like doing." ([email protected], Instagram) Livia: "My zines focus on fiction as a way to introduce historical concepts related to the 19th century, LGBTQ themes, Russo-American relations, and more. They consist mostly of illustrations and sketches." ([email protected], Instagram) Zoie: "My work will focus on showcasing the phx community, local businesses, etc. through photography and illustration."
