"My name is Stacy LeFevre, more commonly known as Stace or Staceart. I was born and raised in Arizona, moved out of state for nearly a decade and returned to AZ in May 2020. I lived in Seattle for 5 years and during my time there, I came across the wonderful world of zines! It was inspiring to attend zine fests and connect with other zinesters, and even showcased my art at shows like VanCAF and Olympia Zine Fest." "I adore the flexibility and freedom when it comes to creating zines. So much of my art and upbringing has been stifled by perfectionism, and zines have given me the space to experiment and share what I make with the world. The reason why I started my mental health comic “Strange But Beautiful” was because I was inspired after my first VanCAF in 2015. I had attended different conventions and comic cons, but going to an event that was primarily focused on independent artists, comics, and zines struck a chord with me.
