"I create semi-autobiographical comic zines that detail mysteries about my neighbor's dogs, the joys of sour candy, navigating depression and anxiety, outer space, and maintaining optimism and purpose despite the horrors. I am a queer, nonbinary artist and graphic designer, born and raised in Phoenix. Comics, humor and zines have become my greatest vehicles for connection. It's a great privilege to continue to meet people who see pieces of themselves in my art." "The Imposter is a half page comic zine that uses space travel as a metaphor for navigating isolation and the search for purpose throughout the pandemic.
Sour Candy is a mini comic zine about delicious sour candy (Albanese gummies, the superior gummy brand, FYI). My Neighbor Has 5 Secret Dogs is a mini comic zine about how one time my neighbor confided in me that while she seems to only have 2 dogs, she actually has 5 dogs and she rotates them on her walks so no one suspects it. She owns her house and we don't have an HOA so her reasons for keeping a little dog secret continue to elude me. 'How Have You Been' is a mini art zine about stagnation and ennui. If I have enough time, I hope to put together an iPhone photography zine called Good Signs, which will be a collection of strange and interesting signage that I've photographed over the last decade. My full-time graphic design job used to be in sign making. Also if I have enough time, I hope to complete the first issue of a fiction comic series called Bog Boy."
