Phx Zine Fest AI-Generated Content Policy

With artificial intelligence (AI) becoming more prominent in creative spaces, the Phx Zine Fest Organizers have opted to share our policy on AI-generated content used by ourselves and vendors.
Phx Zine Fest has never and will never use AI-generated images or text on our social media sites, website, promotional materials, or any other content we create or share. All images and text have been created by current and past Phx Zine Fest Organizers. If you have any questions or concerns about who is creating our content or how it’s sourced, please reach out to us directly HERE.
When submitting your Phx Zine Fest vendor application, we ask that you disclose the use of any AI-generated content used in your zines or merch within the ”Tell us about your zine or distro!” section. Be as detailed and specific as possible, including what databases and sources you’re referencing. If your application is accepted, we ask that you disclose the use of AI in an accessible place for other Phx Zine Fest attendees and vendors to see.
We understand that some AI tools can be used to assist creators and provide accessibility, however, we want to preserve the integrity of our community’s art and will take into account your use of AI when reviewing your application.
As AI-generated content continues to develop and we gain a better understanding of how it can serve to help or hurt our creative communities, we will commit to updating this policy page as needed. 
These guidelines have been inspired by the Kickstarter and YouTube AI policies.
