Kendy/MissMuffcake is a zine maker from Modesto who makes perzines, DIY zines and cooking zines. Her zines include titles Stay at Home Girl Friend and many more. You can find Kendy's zines in Wasted Ink Zine Distro! Why are zines important to you? Why do you choose zines as your outlet? It is therapy! I find a great release in making zines I can not find anywhere else. It is a way for me to connect with people and to feel not so isolated in my thoughts. Tell your zine story. What inspired you to make zines? In the late 90s when I was a senior in high school I came across some goth zines and dark poetry zines and was hooked. I made friends through them and was inspired by the DIY approach. It took me a few decades to finally make my own but once I did it felt like things just clicked! Share your favorite zine story with us.
Making new friends that I would not have met otherwise! It is so cool when you meet people that make zines and you can talk about the most basic of things (postage rates, staples) with glee! You can find Kendy's zines at Wasted Ink Zine Distro or on her website! You can also follow Kendy on Instagram!
