I make photo-based books and zines about my experiences in the world. Much of my work comes from traveling and looking for ways to feel at home in foreign places. I am looking for quirks in the mundane, and beauty around every corner. I love to hand make, and to experiment with different binding styles and layout designs. My self-publishing projects started in my junior year of college while attending the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The first book was made in collaboration with poet A.M Sweeney who I met while we were both studying abroad in Paris. Since then I have been steadily publishing 1 book and several zines per year- continuing to collaborate with other artists and makers, and even publishing a monograph collection for Earl Standerford in 2019. My passion is for photography books- physical objects to have and to hold and to experience images intimately. I hope also to make publishing affordable and accessible. Art is for everyone! This project will continue to be a mix of self publishing, collaboration, and hopefully more publications of other artists. I am especially interested in non-traditional viewpoints and publishing work from underserved and underseen communities.
