Budget Press both makes and distros all kinds of zines and poetry chapbooks by very many different people from very many different places. We do not adhere to any specific genre, style, or format, we do whatever we want to do however we want to do it. Even started a podcast in 2021 because why not? I'm just a middle-aged white guy from SoCal who now lives in DC who teaches history, travels, and makes zines and chapbooks. The perzines I write myself are about my life and travels and snowglobes, but I started Budget Press more to publish other people, and since the 90s I've put out 80 zines and chapbooks and published even more different writers and artists. Perzines, lit zines, photo zines, travel zines; fiction, non-fiction, poetry; black-and-white, full color, risograph; anti-niche, I do what I want.
