Catboy Institute for the Arts

Hello! We are Pepper and Pumpkin, we are two artists based in Tucson, AZ. We both make a living from our online store and freelance work.

We enjoy exploring historical periods of time, nostalgia, cats and handsome anime men in our work. We are a bit of visual polar opposite but that's our intersections. 

Pumpkinknives worked hard for a whole year to produce a highly polished artbook I am very proud of her, after such a long time working steadily even with the crippling self doubt. 

Pepperonccini (me!) has a small collection of illustrated notes themed with my favorite movies printed at home with neon inks.

​Both of us believe there should be more content where we can explore fun colorful fun ideas and personas. We are an ace couple that enjoys drawing things with a touch of female gaze and try to cater exclusively to women and LGBTQA+ sensitivities, we feel there is too much male gaze in fandom spaces already and we create things we would like to see. Mostly we also love cats since our son is one.. so... therefore catboys.
