Deadbeat Poets Society

Deadbeat Poets Society is a poetry zine focusing on experimental, provocative themes like queer issues, mythology and more. We also offer events to allow your work to go to page to the stage. It is a very laid back, discussion based event. 

Deadbeat Poets Society started when I was trying to find a group to feel belonging. I couldn't find it. A lot of literary circles focuses on large fees to come to classes or events (one I found was a workshop for $800). Or around unsafe groups with known abusive members. 

It just seemed like it wasn't fair for a lot of groups of people who didn't have the same opportunities as those who could pay for admission or were around those with false promises. 

Deadbeat Poets Society focuses on one goal. We provide the prompt to get you going. You provide your story on your choice. Our events allow to meet others like you and gain that fair feedback.
