Echo Zines

Hi, I'm Nina Zina (she/her or they/them) of Echo Zines based in Belgium and I'm celebrating my 20th zine anniversary this year. Even though I've been making zines for a while, I'm sure I won't stop any time soon! Zine-making is too much fun (you should try it if you haven't yet!).

I enjoy drawing comics and writing zines and mini-zines about my daily life (during the pandemic), queerness, self-care, feminist activism, DIY culture, fandom, travelling to zine fests (before covid), how to play guitar or how to make your own zine, herbs, my band Lavender Witch, my stuffed bunny Chainsaw Bunny, and more. Some of my zine titles include Same Heartbeats, Confined, Do it Yourself Care, From Spice Girls to Riot Grrrls, CuNt & Paste, Scissors & Chainsaws, and Space Invasion. I love making and reading zines! Get in touch if you're curious about my zines!
I've started making zines as Echo Zines 20 years ago when I was inspired by riot grrrl zines. Today I make diary comic zines, feminist perzines, how-to mini-zines, and 24 hour zines about things like self-care, life in the pandemic, activism, my stuffed bunny, making music, queerness, fandom, travelling (before covid), and DIY culture. Zines and zine culture have become a huge part of my life, I seem to be making them and talking about them all the time. For me it's also important to make my zines affordable to buy (low price and options to trade) and to encourage readers to make their own zines.

Themes include:  self-care, life in the pandemic/lockdown, feminist activism, fandom, making music, zine culture, herbs, (gender)queer, ageing, and tiredness.
