 Wasted Ink Zine Distro (WIZD) is our sponsor and our Phx Zine Fest home. Both Wasted Ink Zine Distro and the Phx Zine Fest were born out of necessity in our Phoenix community and has worked for over six years to bring people together around self publishing, zine making, solidarity economies, and mutual aid. Wasted Ink Zine Distro has a new home in 2021 and is located in Nurture House along side Palabras Bilingual Bookstore, Por Vida Bakery, Pachanga Press, and Abalone Mountain Press. WIZD currently represents 350 zine makers who are BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and disabled or chronically ill and carries work from Arizona creators and from folks in different states and countries.
WIZD is a communal space with a zine library of over 1000 zines for folks to sit and read with no expectation of a purchase. WIZD invite you to visit the distro, get acquainted with the local zine scene, and find ways to be involved! WIZD will be accepting new zine vendors in January of 2022.
