this zine is called "it's cool :)" and it's a collection of love poems for the lonely. it is also my very first official zine! each of the poems are handwritten and illustrated. the total page count, including all poems and illustrations, is 48. i want to represent myself as an example of queer and disabled youth. most of my work touches on subjects like love and sexuality, which are often are left out of the conversation of disability. i want to show people that there is a depth and a richness to the queer and disabled experience, that we experience sex and love and the emotions that come along with those experiences just as intensely as able-bodied folk.
Themes include: love, loss, yearning, sexuality, youth, internet culture and the grotesque. i am particularly interested in expressions of shame and vulnerability through the intersections of handwriting and illustration. View Logan's zine! Follow it's cool :) here: Instagram #1 Instagram #2
