Amanda (she/they) is an interdisciplinary artist, librarian, educator, and end-of-life doula. They reside in Tucson, AZ. They are currently writing about and creating zines and books on topics such as green burial, exploration of grief, and queer legacies. As an artist and educator, Amanda has enjoyed facilitating creative workshops for fellow doulas and artists to make zines on death positive topics; they would love to see more resources out in the world that support and emphasize the importance of conscious dying (and living) and death care. Their Zine Bike, Outspokin' & Bookish, makes pop-up appearances around Tucson's art markets, fundraisers, and other free community events. My zines and creative practice are all tied to my personal experiences with queerness, mental health, self & community care, death & loss, and my particular brand of humor. I don't produce a ton of my own zines but I have a creative practice that's rooted in sharing zines I love via a cargo bike (where my shop name Outspokin' & Bookish comes from). I'm working on making more space for creative endeavors in my life, always!
