My name is Paige (she/her) and I make politically charged zines. My love for zines came from the punk 7 inches I collected as a child. I started to collect zines from the riot grrrl movement and other punk zines I could get my hands on. This started my love for creating art that could be published without censorship. From there, my activism became the forefront of my artistic direction. My experiences with organizations such as Planned Parenthood AZ, #Fight4HER, and Drag Story Hour AZ are reflected in my work. I make collages from pictures I take at protests and collab with organizations to further support their efforts. I also have had the honor to interview artists for my zines such as Kirsten Patches, the lead singer of Naked Aggression!! My zines all focus to center marginalized voices and work to make change through artistic direct action. My distro consists of politically charged zines. I make submission based zines that are a collection of artists work, usually with feminist themes. I also make zines in response to laws to spread useful information. Such as, how to get an abortion, or how to get birth control without a prescription etc. My zines are all made by hand to create a DIY copy and paste feel. I love to collage and draw my own images that I usually make into stickers or other forms of art from my zines. I recently worked with Drag Story Hour to create an ABC coloring book zine for children about sexuality, LGBTQIA+ history and drag history. That is my most recent zine and probably the zine I am most proud of. My zines all focus on sexuality, sexual health, reproductive rights, sexual assault, queer and trans rights, etc!! My zines are created to inspire and to get people ready to take action through art.
