I’ve been so publishing my zines since 2016 and focusing more on making comics since 2020. I will be tabling my 6th and final issue of Lost Projects Zine which I started self publishing in 2016 as a way to showcase old Zine projects which never saw the light of day. It evolved into a community “tell-all” per-Zine, and has finally ended up evolving into a comic project. This likely will be my final issue because I realized that comics are my preferred medium of storytelling.
Some of the newest zines I will be tabling are also locally Riso printed which I wrote and created between 2020 and 2023, some as part of a grant I won from the Arizona Commission on the Arts and some while taking classes at The Sequential Artists Workshop based in Gainesville Florida during the lockdown portion of the pandemic. These comics deal with coming-of-age as a queer person on my path towards existing in a more balanced mental health space, processing abuse, learning to trust my guts, growing up working class, as well as more recently becoming an educator and parent
