My zine contains two two-length poems, one of which was performed live in front of thousands of people when I opened for bestselling contemporary poet Rupi Kaur at The Orpheum Phoenix in June 2022. I am a writer, performance poet, and storyteller and created my first zine in October 2022 as a fundraiser for reproductive rights here in Arizona. In the wake of the unprecedented decision to overturn Roe one year ago, I felt hopeless. Before our local election in November 2022, I decided to print two feminist poems in a limited edition zine and donate the proceeds to local organizations doing important work. The first run of 30 zines sold out and I printed a couple dozen more to sell nationwide.
