I make zines, books, prints, and paper goods under Shut Eye Press, part of Phoenix’s Paper Jam + Print collaborative print studio. I specialize in handmade books and storytelling, and use sustainable processes, playful materials, odd structures, and traditional letterpress techniques to fuse artistic practices and surprise the reader. Shut Eye balances my own literary projects with community collaborations, sharing with other artists to mix mediums and explore what the book can do. My zines use different print techniques and book forms, but I have a special love for letterpress—working and caring for the old presses, printing book covers and inserts for fellow creatives, and making the tools as accessible as possible for others to play and create with.
