ZuZu_Cartoons makes zines and comics about self-discovery & acceptance, neurodivergence, queer love, and supporting a partner with depression. ZuZu_Cartoons is a zinester who’s been publishing out of Arizona for the past decade or so. Their work covers serious topics, such as securing an ADHD diagnosis, and silly topics, such as summoning a demon into a long Furby. Her ongoing comic series, Playlists for Possessed Dolls and Depressed Smokers, relies on humor and narrative to tackle heavier themes such as isolation, nihilism, interpersonal relationships, neurodivergence and mental health.
