Susurrate Press is an independent small press publishing a wide array of works including short run artist books, (fan)zines, literary fiction, non-fiction and poetry. They primarily produce work surrounding the idea of ephemeral and uniquely shared experiences, also working to elevate marginalized voices wherever possible. Lately, they have been particularly interested in content having to do with the ambient passage of time and the surreal nature of progress in a visual sense. Susurrate Press also produces fan-bindings on a limited basis for authors, illustrators and readers who want personal copies of their works printed. Emma is a bookmaker, writer and emerging new media artist who's primary practices focus on how physical spaces and memory play into our worldly experiences.
They hold intentional space for discussions of bodily autonomy and personal movement in all of their work. They also love to (and feel so thankful to be able to) share their weird, special stories with folks who might not necessarily share the same physical space with them. Be it just about their day, the wildly vivid dreams they tend to have or anything else, getting all the thoughts zooming around in their brain space out to paper for more of the world is a really neat thing they love to do!
