 Worried About Rent (WAR) combats the deep-rooted racial and economic exploitation in the Valley of the Sun, that now manifests as gentrification and displacement, by building solidarity with our neighbors. We believe that everyone deserves a roof over their head regardless of their financial circumstances, and we're organizing to fight for it. We formed in 2020 and are made up of volunteers and led by tenants! The zine in particular that we're hoping to share at the festival is a "Know your rights!" zine, a hand-copy of tenant's rights in Maricopa County with tips on how to organize and form your own tenants association with your neighbors.
