"I would like to present myself as Salma, which is my sex worker/ artist name. I would like to have my zine represented as a Chaotically-Pink Celebration of the Sex Industry and the freedom that it allows its workers to have, simultaneously is a deep 'roar' to the patriarchy and everyone who continues to censor sex workers."

"I create semi-autobiographical comic zines that detail mysteries about my neighbor's dogs, the joys of sour candy, navigating depression and anxiety, outer space, and maintaining optimism and purpose despite the horrors. I am a queer, nonbinary artist and graphic designer, born and raised in Phoenix. Comics, humor and zines have become my greatest vehicles for connection. "My work, whether through the surreal comic adventures of Jackalope in the gritty town of Wormville or the poetic explorations of themes like death, destruction, creation, and queerness through Norse mythology, seeks to push boundaries and provoke thought. The comic zine showcases a young mystic navigating a strange and seedy world, blending humor, mystery, and the unexpected. Meanwhile, the poetry zine delves into deeper, existential themes, weaving ancient myths with contemporary issues of identity and transformation. Through both, I aim to captivate, challenge, and inspire my audience with unique narratives and vivid imagery."
